The school has 9 classes this year. Classes change annually and are structured to best meet the needs of the pupils. Year 7 and 8 share forty percent of their learning with five pupils from the secondary school in a link classroom. Other pupils access parts of their curriculum at their mainstream schools supported by teaching assistants from Elmwood.

 

2H - Mrs Hather has five Teaching Assistants and Five Year 4 -Year 7 pupils.

 

2R - Mrs Rooks has four Teaching Assistants and Ten Year 5 - Year 7 pupils.

  

3H - Mrs House has four Teaching Assistants and Eight Year 7-Year 9 pupils. This group is taught through a competences based curriculum.  

                       

3B - Miss Bradfield has three Teaching Assistants. Eleven Year 7 - Year 9 pupils, plus three RBSC pupils who work with the class forty percent of the time, accessing the literacy and numeracy curriculum. This group is taught through a competences based curriculum.

  

3E - Mrs Eggington has two Teaching Assistants and Ten Year 8 - Year 9 pupils. This group is taught through a competences based curriculum.

 

3R - Miss Rowe has three Teaching Assistants and Seven Year 7 - Year 9 pupils. This group is taught through a competences based curriculum.

 

4L - Mr Lear has four Teaching Assistants and Nine Year 10 pupils.

  

4CW - Mrs Carter and Mr Waters have two Teaching Assistants. Year 11 pupils, plus three RBSC pupils on a dual placement.

                          

 

Pupils register and have pastoral care in these groups.
